Pihanui - Northern Hawkes Bay Forest Right
Pihanui Station is situated in the Northern Hawkes Bay on Cricklewood Road, Putere. The landowners, Ngati Pahauwera are looking to partner with forestry investors to create a quality production forest with strong environmental outcomes through the use of extended native riparian plantings.Pihanui has a titled area of over 2,197 hectares with over 1,300 hectares available to plant out in both both production forestry (940 ha) and riparian Manuka (378 ha).
It is estimated that approximately 1,377 hectares of Pihanui is eligible under the Emissions Trading Scheme.
Pihanui has an excellent tree growing location climate with great soils which has been complemented with a consistent fertilizer program. Being situated 106km from the Napier Port makes for an economical distance for log exports.
The Pihanui Forest Right is being marketed by way of Expressions of Interest which closes 16 August, 12 pm.
